Gil Scott-Heron - New York Is Killing Me

Video by Chris Cunningham:

Soy Cuba

Scorcese’s a big fan of this 1964 Cuban propoganda film:

Curious logo

From time to time I see trucks near where I live from Brett Aggregates and I keep noticing their logo. The company is largest independent construction and building materials groups in the UK, but instead of the usual bold, thrusting old school logos that these companies normally go for their logo looks like this:

Think I really like it because it’s so different and is placed to starkly on their trucks:

And there’s another version where the letter are interlocked:

The other thing I like about it is feels like something David Carson may have come up with - except this is better as the designers have managed to sell it in to a client that makes concrete rather than a surf company.

Early Jackie Chan Parkour

Classic - Must have watched this over a hundred times on a dodgy VHS copy when I was a young kid:

Cyclisk

Northern California artists Mark Grieve and Ilana Spector built a 65-foot-tall, 10,000-pound obelisk out of around 340 bicycles, and one tricycle. Called “Cyclisk“. It was installed on a streetcorner in Santa Rosa, California. Grieve and Spector collected the hundreds of bicycles they needed for the project from community donations.”

For the kids of course:
