I remember going to a focus group years and years ago when mobiles were just starting to become popular - I didn’t have one at the time.
I remember that we were asked if we thought that a camera on a phone would be of any use and nobody in the room thought it would be of any use or catch on. The closest to a yes was “maybe estate agents might use them”. I now find myself photographing maps, offers in papers, recipes so I can buy ingredients etc.
Just goes to show how dependent people become on things once they’re given them - whether they ask for them first or not.

Saw this image of Hilary Swank from the Vanity Fair Portraits exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery and first thought it was a great photo, then I thought that I should probably lead a more active life and then finally thought it reminded me of this iconic image:

Hope this bloke got paid by the noodle company that has a very similar ad on TV in the UK at the moment, and the people behind the OK GO video get paid by the company (I forget which one) that currently are using their concept too.
